Encased in the lush surroundings of Mallorca lies the beautiful home of Can Buch. With the property boasting a selection of terraces leading to a charming garden, the interior design project was dedicated to connect the home to its outdoor space.
The building features typical Mallorcan stone walls which have been complemented by rich wood panelling, to achieve an authentic aesthetic to the home. Its presence became the guiding light of project, with the use of wood dominating the interior design.
Exuding a simple, soothing and warm quality, it is nearly impossible to resist the welcoming qualities of wood in both the furniture and floors.
The implementation of dark wood interiors has transformed the home into a place of grandeur, allowing each room to become more decadent.
The addition of pure wood hues and well defined veins have brought warmth to the modern interiors, contrasting perfectly against its surrounding elements.
The gorgeous wooden floors at Can Buch have anchored the entire space, adding warmth and an austere elegance to each of the rooms, whilst also synchronising harmoniously with the white walls. Wood floors are one of the most sought after surfaces in any home, thanks to their timeless appeal. Its inclusion in the interior design throughout the property has allowed for the rooms to naturally flow.
Lighting was a strong focus for the project, to positively impact the ambience of the overall perceived size of a space. Its considered implementation has not only enhanced the colours used throughout the décor, but created illumination by delivering light to different areas of the home.
The carving out of a double-height room has added depth and light to the existing space. Apart from its functional advantages, its implementation also provides the architecture with an aesthetical virtue. In addition to an added uniqueness, its inclusion has removed the limitations between each rooms, with both floors sharing life’s everyday pleasures. The original and exclusive architecture practice has given the space better ventilation, increased the flow of light and an enhanced feel of spaciousness. The double heights are complemented by textures and decoration elements, adding to the unique and distinctive character of the room.
Splashes of colour, artwork and clean lined furniture complete the modern aesthetic.
Can Buch’s remaining bedrooms have been exquisitely furnished, boasting a luxurious and opulent interior design. The master bedroom features furnishings of purple hues, which transport you to a relaxed and warming space that exudes elegance. The bedroom’s expansive windows are a focal point to the home, flooding the room with light and achieving a connectivity to the outdoor space.
The nature inspired hues and textures bring a touch of the outdoors inside with effortless style. Earthy browns come together using deliberate layering of textures to create a strong and authentic interior design. The project of Can Buch was a great success, with the interior design focused on the play of light and flow of space in a truly organic environment.
